ILMEA
The Illinois Music Education Association hosts district festivals for students that wish to push themselves to a higher level. Students are able to audition in October (Columbus Day) for placement into band, orchestra, instrumental jazz, vocal jazz, or choir. Students that are accepted to these ensembles have the potential to be selected for All-State and represent PCHS at the Illinois Music Education Conference in January hosted at the Peoria Civic Center. Thousands of students from throughout the state of Illinois audition for these ensembles, and it is a great honor to be selected to perform.
